So a friend of mine who's also a collector bought a Peace dollar, and before he bought it I told him that it has been cleaned. So he asked the seller if it was cleaned or not, and the seller told him that the coin has black spots and gunk on it which means that it hasn't been cleaned.

So he bought the coin and now that I see it in hand, I am 100% sure that it has been cleaned. Now I just need you guys' opinions about whether this has been cleaned or not to use as evidence when confronting the seller.

In my semi-ignorant opinion, I'd say yes, cleaned. Just looks too clean, even some hairlines visible.

I agree it's cleaned but I can't see hairlines that indicate a harsh cleaning.

Not quite cleaned with a belt sander, but pretty sad.
