I am new to collecting and looking into the Peace dollar to collect. I am wondering where to start with information on the Peace dollar any books and websites. The reason I decide on the Peace dollar is I really like the look of the coin. I live in Maryland and there are not a lot of coin shops near me. There is a place that offered me uncirculated for $30 a piece not sure if that is good, cause he can send whatever he wants. Not that he would but I looked on ebay as well not sure where to start buy 300-450$ worth of 30$ coins or one that is graded? Any and all information is greatly appreciated

Thanks
Mike

Before you buy anything, buy the books and read them first.
I reccomend the Red Book for basic info and rough value of US coins in general, and A Guide Book of Peace Dollars for more info specifically on Peace dollars.

Make sure you are truly getting an "uncirculated" coin and not a dipped or polished coin.

Do your research first and learn to what to look out for.

I recommend to get or look at the PCGS Photograde. You can either get it on an Apple device or on the PCGS website. http://www.pcgs.com/photograde/

PCGS website under the resources tab has David Bowers book free online where you can browse information of each coin in the series.
