Welcome to the forum!
It is damage and not an error. Sorry.

Hi Effess - welcome to CCF! Interesting coin. With the way the Memorial is sliding to the west it might indicate being struck through something (grease, cap). It also looks like something post-mint, perhaps acid causing the features to erode in a way it looks to be sliding. That might have occurred after some damage, perhaps from resting face up on a street. There are many experts here that might have a better explanation, but this is the kind of coin that's kept for a bit; mystery. Until solved, hard to toss back to the wild.

Hey, thanks for the quick replies. I might post another pic. I still like this coin error or not. On the obverse I can see multiple hair lines and eyes.

A struck through error will not move devices like this. There is no doubt in my mind this is damage.

Looks like it was heated and distorted the devices. Often referred as a blow torched coin. PSD. Nothing in the minting process could make this happen.

Oh, I can see that. Thanks. This site is full of so much info, I'm trying to learn more. What about the front?

What is your question about the obverse? The pic makes it tough to see anything out of the ordinary. Suggestion, when you take a pic of a coin shoot straight down on the coin and not at an angle. Then crop the photo so the coin fills the pic. And yes, this site has much to offer so post many pics and ask questions. That's how we all learned the hobby.

I will be sure to get photos that way from now on. I was having a hard time with the lighting ( or I guess the shadows) I was just tired of waiting to get on this site. So I rushed :). My question about the obverse is. What damage or issue would cause the multiple hair lines and the double eyes. I believe the noses are visible as well. I'm not disagreeing with what you said, I'm just trying to understand.

The same thing that damaged the reverse also affected the obverse. On the obverse the damage just left a doubled look.
