And yes I am the first to say you should always read an ad, then read it again, I realize there is nothing to do here but feel sorry for the buyers getting duped, but won't ebay ever stop the sale of counterfeits, and even if they are declared gold coated, they are still fakes.. 191305156540

**Let's keep it family friendly** A lot of times buyers are dumber than sellers are greedy! It is time for ebay and the mints to get tough on this stuff!

The description in very big letters indicates MINTED IN US and the coin picture says CANADA so they know what they are buying, a real American Superman coin.

There was a discussion on Superman fakes fairly recently: https://goccf.com/t/178899The upshot was that some folks tended to dismiss these as harmless replicas (not that somebody paying $610 Australian for one is not going to be anything but harmed), and not see the wider implications of copyright infringement and counterfeiting in general.

I don't feel sorry for whoever wins this auction. Once they realize they got duped into buying a fake coin, they only have themselves to blame. There are so many red flags on that auction/listing that there is enough reason not to buy it. And the fact that the seller uses a stock photo instead of an in-hand picture of the actual coin is a big no no.

RCM is the one at fault. Copyright infringement. Why don't they go after sellers like this?

Like I said before the RCM's lawyers could end all the listings on ebay with one letter, wonder why they don't act?
