Very nice coin ! After all these many years I never acquired one yet. A difficult emperor to fill for a reasonable price.

Quintillus indeed is scarcer but one time call it 6 years ago Bill Kalmbach (Nilus) had a tremendous high grade one. I think it sold for 800$ which was about double what I thought it should be priced at.
A similar coin might be that of Allectus. You can find coins of him in F or maybe VF fairly regularly. Now think back about how many times you have ever seen an XF one. Very very very hard to locate.

Very nice coin of one of the harder emperors to get. I like that it still has some silvering on it.

That's very nice for a Quintillus. The reverses tend to be crud. I love the curls of his hair.

Thank you all for the lovely comments. This is my other quintillus, not sure whether to keep him or not. I hate parting with coins. I have one Allectus Galley, it is flaking away to nothing. They are so expensive in good condition.

Nice Quintillus. Odd that the reverse is so much better than the obverse. I've got one Quintillus with silvering, top center of this group: If only I had the money with me at the time, I wouldve cleared the guy out - all those coins are from the same hoard, and he had perhaps a thousand or so there.

That's a nice one Ben. Another good reverse. You can see the family resemblence can't you.

Looks a lot like this one TC: Quintillus, AE antoninianus, Siscia mint.
IMP CM AVR CL QVINTILLVS AVG, radiate, cuirassed bust right. TEMPORVM FELI, Felicitas standing left, holding caduceus and cornucopiae.
RIC V-1 Siscia 76 var (unlisted bust type). Rare.
Look on wildwinds for the reference and compare....

Having gone through all of the Quintillus listings on Wildwinds, I have to agree with you - the RIC V-1 Siscia 76 var (unlisted bust type) seems to be the closest. Marvellous. Thank-you.
(P.S. - Any idea on value?)

Thank-you PP.
When it arrives I may put it up for grading. It seems to have clear definition.
