I dont think the dealer intentionally sold me these if they were fake. The problem is, if they are fake, would he take them back? This has never happened before. I got them out of the junk box, to my surprise they looked cool and were in decent shape I thought. The morgan is cleaned, but looking closer it just doesn't sit right with me for some reason. I then googled the other 2 coins and lo and behold just me luck, they are highly counterfited.. I weighed and measured, and they all pass the magnetic test. They dont stick to a very large speaker magnet I have. Best I could do. Heres the pic, tell me what you think. I have close up images if you would like to see those as well. Thanks

How much did you pay for them? My local coin shop would take them back if they were fake. Most coin shops will guarantee that what they sell is not fake, however, if you paid a few dollars for these chances are they knew that these were "reproductions" and wont give you your money back.

I believe it is illegal to ship coins that are counterfeit. Do you really want to ship them back?

Its a local dealer. I dont do much business with them, compared to some people. Maybe once every 3 months or so.

Can you post clearer, more close up photos? The weights are not out of the normal range for circulated coins.

The Morgan and fatman look good to me.
the Morgan should be closer to 2.8mm, however rim thickness can vary.

The date on that Morgan dollar is crude and the weight too low for the amount of wear, so that one is most likely fake. The other two I see nothing from the pictures to suggest they are fake, and weights are correct for the wear.

Also the G in the motto looks funky. Never seen one like that before on the Morgan. Even though that's not a date I've owned it still is cause for concern in my book. I agree the fat man looks ok unless its one of the rare varieties out there its most likely legit. Due to the fact that its only worth its weight in silver. Third one idk

the Morgan is not a keeper. Even if it is real, it is heavily polished and just junk.

I agree, take them back. If it's a reputable dealer, they should give you a refund. If not, you probably don't want to be dealing with them in the future.
Also, just a note- the 2nd measurement you have listed should be diameter, not circumference. Circumference is the distance around the edge of a circle. Not trying to be picky or rude (and I apologize in advance if this comes across as so), but it might help when you present your case to the dealer if you are using the correct terms for the measurements.

Im sure he would take them back. Just a question but how long has this dealer been around? To not know a morgan is a fake? I'm sure you will have no problem. I just find it odd a supposed pro would let them slip like that. I can pick out a fake and I'm hardly a pro. Just my Two Cents
