Hopefully I can get someone in Edmonton to get me some. I'm glad they're starting to do coin exchanges out west and in non boutique locations too. They really should allow people who order the packs from the mint a free card with each pack. They're paying for shipping anyway.

Can't believe that whenever there is a Mint exchange in Montreal, it has to be on a darn Monday.

The mint offers you the chance to exchange your pocket change for a shiny new coin or two plus in some cases a free collector card.
They do this quite often with commemorative circulation coins.

Quote: exchange your pocket change for a shiny new coin will be this new coin real legal tender, or we again will have to go to RBC, where the teller will say that he/she never have seen such Toonie before

Banks will receive these new $2 any day from now.
So no need to worry about depositing these in banks.

Hope by the time they have it here there are still some rolls left to distribute. BTW, just got my 3 5-packs in this morning. The coins look to be in good shape - no scratches or markings that I can see.

I was bit ironic, since CC-Ottawa reminded "exchange your cash", which familiar in the slogan of the first "20for20" and my yesterday bad experience. They still use the word 'exchange' for the $50 for $50. I suppose it really is an exchange to get the coin but it's clearly not quite as easy to reverse the process.

Someone left a review on the mint website pointing out that the lady appears to have an extra finger on her right hand. For those of you who have received the coins, can you confirm or deny that? I can't quite tell from the photo justsilver posted. This is the image on mint.ca and I see 5 fingers plus presumably she has a thumb.

Thanks, Justsilver, for the picture. This is typical new toonie defect, yes, that how I call it. And still can not understand: why RCM started to strike that low-quality product. Or it outsourced? Just compared old style 2011-2012 Toonie with the new coins.

CC-Ottawa, nice catch. On the RCM picture - this is an alien hand. Looks like some designers had a fun posting this to production. I tried to check this image: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Just-Release...em5b0637a65cit also not really clear, but looks normal hand with the 4 visible fingers and thumb behind them.
