Wouldn't You Think This Was A 1916 DDO Buffalo Nickel?

I recently found my 2nd 1916 DDO Buffalo nickel. It was dateless, but I recognized the landmarks. Unlike the first one, which was certified by ANACs in its original state, I chose to restore the date on this second one. Probably a huge mistake, but it was indeed a DDO.

It got me to thinking that, somewhere in my rat hole of a man cave, I had a whole bunch of part date 1916-Ps squirreled away somewhere from years ago - back before I was even bothering to look for the DDO. After some searching, I found them...about 60 of them! About halfway through the pile I found this one - and my heart skipped a beat.

If you were looking for a DDO in a pile of 1916s, wouldn't you think you found one if you saw this...?

(Edited to correct spelling of BUFFALO. Duh!)

Machine doubling. The lower feather generally shows much stronger doubling. Let me dig up an example...

Edit:

Top feather is too flatly doubled, second feather doesn't project out enough, and the third feather doesn't show any doubling. You also cut off the neck, which shows doubling, and resolution isn't sufficient enough to see the doubling on the lips.

Chasingtailbar - sadly for me, I think you nailed it.

I sure hope somebody sees something I'm overlooking, but I doubt anyone will...
