I would like your help. I may sell this coin soon and would like to get a better estimate of its condition. I'm not asking for the exact grade but more a rough estimate.

I put a few pictures in an album to examine. The the lighting was not cooperating with me how I wanted it to. That is why there are a few photos with 2 coins in it.

The CC in question is dark. Its not really a silver color but more like a gray.

Here is the album and thank you all for your help.

Is it just me, or does the CC dollar look smaller than the other one?

How much does it weigh?

It looks like a VAM-2A to me. I can make out the die crack from the left star, through the tip of the bust to the date and the die crack from the cap up through the "S" in Pluribus. http://www.vamworld.com/1889-CC+VAM-2A

I would say it's somewhere in the F-15 neighborhood.

I've seen that sort of odd size perspective in my own coin imagery before. The differing optical properties of macro photography - I think - allow perspective effects to manifest in much smaller physical areas than "normal" photography. So, don't let the apparent size difference have a bearing on your judgment.

I'm on board with Dave's F15 opinion, making for a value on the order of $800. Mind, though, you're not going to get anywhere near this price if you sell the coin raw - it is so often counterfeited and artificially enhanced to improve appearance that any savvy buyer is going to want to see this coin in the slab of a reputable TPG. I will not recommend the purchase of a raw 1889-CC to any but the most experienced Morgan specialist.
