Showing off another of my favorites, the oldest coin in my collection. I wanted something from Washington's presidency, but wasn't optimistic. Until I saw this, and snatched it up almost immediately. I was bowled over by how even the wear is. PCGS VG10.

You have every reason to show it off. A nice example of the 1795 Liberty Cap cent!
Ar first sight it appears to be Sheldon S-76b, plain edge with 'One Cent'
high in wreath. An often encountered 1795 variety.

Over time I've picked up a lot of tattered coins. Here's my scratchy S-23.

The die crack is very prominent across Liberty's cheek, which is swollen like a bad toothache. Too bad someone scratched up the obverse fields.

Not much to look at compared to your 1795. But when will I find another one at a coin show for 200 bucks...

Nice coin. Now think of this. Your back in 1795 with a whole pocket full of those. And just to buy a loaf of bread.

Nice one, thq, I actually prefer the design in '94.

I'm sure large cents are more fun to collect than they were to use!

In 1795 it probably only took one of them to buy a loaf of bread.
