Hey CCF. I found this cent a few months ago in a roll. Do you think it's missing the copper plating?

No, it isn't unplated, it is merely a zincoln that has been subjected to extreme heat. I don't know why that turns them grey, but it does.

There is a viedo on youtube that shows how to do that. I've found altered ones in circulation before.

On the one I found you can see the copper plating in certain areas.

Unplated outside the mint, it's got a grainy/porous surface.
