A buyer has a bid on this high 9 but it is not one and I let the seller know about it as well.

It's a high 9! Easy to see, draw a loins and the bottom of the date are in line.

I think it's actually a "medium 9", about half-way between a true high 9 and the lowest of the low 9's. The highest high 9's have the bottom of the tail of the 9 just in line with the bottom of the 2, while the lowest of the low 9's has the top of the tail in line with the bottom of the 2.

Looks like a standard 9 to me. IMO

That's right; the medium 9 is the basic standard 9 that you see most often. The lowest low 9's and the high 9's aren't as common.

Looking at pictures of the high and low 9's, I agree with pennysaver. The tail is way to low to be a high 9 in any case. I can't tell if the top of the 9 is even with the 2, it seems a little higher, so I guess it's pretty well stuck in the middle, not high or low.
