Looks like a double 88 , with a slight die clash.

I don't have the 65 edition on the Victoria varieties.

Please feel free to pick out anything on this coin.

1947ML you got these pictures from photobucket that were 1024 x 347 pixels and brought them down to 754 x 258 pixels and 1024 x 682 down to 754 x 503 to post on this site...Nice downsizing..they look great.

Also looks more like "888" doubling to me...

Is your other name guitartops...?

Question, I've got hold of a 3rd edition major variety Zoell and I don't see a double last 88 listed, are more major die variety entries added over time? Because I don't see low/high 1929 penny varieties either.

guitartops is my photobucket account name.

I'm not sure of the 888 , but I like the small clash as well.

I have a 1895 beauty that I will post later , has a full clash.

I have a 2009 Charlton coming from Amazon too, can't wait.

Thanks for the nice comments on the photos. I used a canon Rebel, with a Macro lens.

The middle 8 on ALL 1888 cents is always doubled. There are also spacing differences on the last digit as well.

SPP is right..Look how the digits get closer together as they go from left to right.
