Do you guys collect this series. They are only making them for collectors now, if I understand that correctly. I have a coupon for 8 2014 dollars for $8. Is it worth it? Or what?

Don't know much about the series. Thanks!

I collect the ones I find in rolls in boxes of dollars, but don't buy them. I am more interested int he NA dollars and am missing the NIFC ones of them. Find more post 2011 Pre$ in rolsl than you do the NA ones.

Sounds like that may be one of the Littleton offers?

If you want the coins, go for it. Just understand they will send you at least one other coin "on approval" to purchase or return.

I just saw that ad from Littleton today.

If you order them they will also send you some overpriced coins for "inspection"

Just put those back in the prepaid envelope they send you and make a note "Thank you for the offer but I wish to cancel any enrollment" and call it a day.

from pres 21 up are NIFC. 21 is Chester A Arthur. I only know this because of the Die Hard movie and the dump truck driver told me so. Only the first 20 were released to the public without having to get them from the mint or luck across them in boxes where people dumped the extras they got from the mint and didn't want. Think it is the same for NA/SACs as well, the first 3 were circulated and the rest are NIFC.

I collect them. $8 for 8 of them seems like a pretty good deal if they are in good shape. Many of the ones found in circulation look terrible. Just make sure to cancel future coin shipments, as others have stated.

All coins are uncirculated, and a free ATB uncirculated quarters comes with it.

Actually 2009, 2010, and 2011 were circualtion releases as well.

There was some law passed in 2008 that required a certain percentage of all dollar coins minted per year must be of the NA dollar design.

Sacs morphed into the NA / Native American dollars in 2009 when they started to circulate again with a rotating reverse design annually until they too died off into NIFC status.

I'm still looking to find a lowball circulated Cheerios dollar in a tray or box one day.

While the Native American dollars in 2009, 2010, and 2011 were technically circulation strikes, they were not really the same as Presidential dollars because the Federal Reserve did not order them. The only way to get them was to order them directly from the mint. At least they were available at face value and no shipping costs. I ordered a few boxes myself. I wish we could still order them from the mint at face value. That was a good deal.

TC3, you should buy them at the eight for $8 offer! YOU WILL NEVER FIND THEM CHEAPER THAN THAT!
The only other way to get newer 'Prez' dollar coins is either buying them from the US Mint (not cheap) or from a coin dealer (cheaper than the Mint, but still costly). Finding one in circulation IS possible; but would be close to being a miracle.
As stated before, make sure you mail back to Littleton any additional coins they send you; and don't be slow mailing it back either! Wait too long and you might get stuck paying for them.

Last time I dealt with Littleton I wondered how many times those extra coins they sent had crisscrossed the USA in the mail...

Definitely true.

In fact, I think I might search out that offer to fill in the 2014 holes in my album. Thanks for the idea.
