Hi. I am new to collecting notes. I got this $10.00 dollar bill yesterday as change from McDonalld's. I looked up note collecting and I think this falls under "Book End" notes. I am not sure. It said that it could be worth far more than face value, but what does that really mean? Any clarification would be super! Thanks for your time!

It has to have the same number sequence on both ends of a note's serial number and yours appears to meet that requirement. If this note was uncirculated then I could see it bringing more than $10, but seeing that it has been circulated it would be hard to get anyone to pay anything over face.

Thank you for the info! My next question is, will/can you find "sought after" notes in circulation? Or only fresh from the bank?
Rest in Peace

You can find fancy serial numbers in circulation but they won't get the price that an uncirculated bill would bring.

Yes you can. Keep an eye out for star notes and other fancy serials.
