I don't see the difference, is this a mistake?

In 1913 only, there was a mound type. From 1913 to 1938 the line type was used. This is an incorrect picture for the mound type. Just a misprint. Oops.

Even in lower circulated grades or dateless a type 1 can be identified.

I knew what they looked like, so I was confused when I saw this picture. It's from a 1980 Krause.
