I received mine about ten days ago or so from CP. I am quite pleased with the coin, all the more so because I am an admirer of the world renowned Royal Winnipeg Ballet.

I saw the coin on the coin show, and I was impressed with the design and vividness of the colors. I'm going to watch ebay too see if I can get one at a discount. I'm really surprised Canada post is sold out. I thought it would hang around longer. I just cancelled mine at the mint 2 weeks ago. I needed to free up money for superman. I figured I could get a discount later on. I also like the music. The shape of the music box is rather uncreative. I don't like the straight back, it looks chopped off. |

After seeing this coin in hand, I really like it too! Vivid colors and style!  But the music just doesn't do it for me. It doesn't have that authentic wind-up "music box" sound; more like a cheap tinny recording. The display box could have been nicer, with or without the music. Maybe there's an on/off button to save on batteries or to avoid wearing out the recording?  |

These are interesting comments. I read reviews on the RCM site, very positive on the coin. However, everyone unanimously trashed the case as cheap and cardboard. The case apparently is a real disappointment. I noticed on the coin show they had raised the price above issue. The coin was still selling. The colors look wonderful. |

Fired off an email to RCM Monday to inquire as to why CP was selling and delivering their Ballet stock and we who ordered from RCM in May were still processing - Ballet coin now marked as shipped - woohoo should be here in the next day or so looking forward to this one IMO the nicest coin this year... regarding the music and the open box. Mine plays the music but only for about a minute - then stops. So, leaving it 'on display' with the box open isn't killing the battery on mine... however... do others play longer? or continuously? (maybe mine is defective?) ps. Ordered from the mint in June, arrived in the mail on Monday this week.

Dcadon you are correct the music stops after about a minute. Not sure how it affects the battery though.
