Can someone explain what is a cutting error? This note looks like a border cutting error on the front but not on the back. Thanks.

I don't know much about notes, but I think the obverse is just misaligned. If I recall correctly the design needs to be cut to be a cutting error, can someone who knows more about notes confirm?

Since there is no design missing from the misalignment, I would think that this note would have minimal demand. The condition of the note would also have an negative impact on demand and price.

It looks like they didn't center one side properly, the other side looks fine. Does it measure the same as a normal one? That should give you the answer.

I have a similar one. Pretty sure it's not aligned. Saw one listed for five bucks about a year ago.

The asterisk before the serial # means that it's a replacement note ...and a keeper..and with misalignment ..
