We'll have fun with my 83 x2 (and 84) and I'll ask a few questions "for the experts" here....and Zonad should label his 80 the 'more important OF2'..

OF4 ..you say...

Wow..There is a lot going on in viper's "CANADA"...completely repunched by what I can see..

Nice one Dredge....

I'm going to back track a bit to add better pics of my 1880.

The low relief obverse was not easy to properly capture through the 2 sheets of clear, so I felt that I had to try again.. The "C" in CANADA is doubled at the top..

Tomorrow will see one of my favorites ..

For variety searchers,..the "E" in DEI is different in viper's 1882.. as it is in my 82 also.
.....probably deterioration of the die..

...for me, this is one of my favorites. When viewed at it's normal size,..it just seems perfect..

The "N" in CENTS also has a smaller N showing in the top and bottom right serifs.

The 2010 Charlton's p.360 shows OF4 RF4 with a Re-engraved "E" in DEI (REE-1)..

..also shows a Rev. First Repunched Wide 8 over Small 8 as is seen on this 1882..
