Please add your 5 cent silvers to this thread...

This will be an ongoing 5 cent silver thread and I will add a following date each day or so..

I hope to see a lot of 5 cent varieties added by as many of you as possible..

...all grades and all varieties would be great..!!

Starting today with 1858's..a cameo vicky..small date

...and another 1858 LD..RP2

Many 1858's have great die cracks over their surfaces..

2 of the above have d/c's across the reverse centers..

Wow! Those are some nice coins!

Maybe you could make a "days of" thread instead? We need more of those in the Canadian Section anyway.

Ok..Changed to "Days of" as suggested by zxcccxz..

Most large dates that I've seen show a weakness in their centers ..Some obverse legends will also show a weak strike and some will be so deep and well struck..

So many varieties to be seen in the vicky series.....

DEVLEC, I don't know if its the lighting, but is the CANADA on the obverse struck twice? For the first coin you posted

I would say that the "N" and the "D" of CANADA are repunched on above SD cameo 1858.

In the upcoming days many of the coins will have fun details to comment about here.

Thanks...!..My goal was to have all dates with a beautiful cameo starting with that 1858..

....been told that it's never going to happen....

So far I've never seen another business strike quite like that one..

..but I would love to see more coin pics and varieties coming in here..
