Hello guys!

I have three gold coins which I have inherited and I am not sure what is their origin and potential value.

Any help identifying them will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Nik

The first I believe is a kurush (come in various denominations based on weight and diameter, this may be a medal too, the hole makes it worth only it's gold value)

The second and third coins are gold sovereign's (Or Half Sovereigns, again based on weight and diameter).

For full identification of all three as well as grade and value; Please post high quality pictures or scans of each face of each coins along with the weight and diameter.

I suspect that the Islamic coin may not be an actual coin, but I am reasonably certain that it is of pure or near pure gold. The hole was put in it deliberately, to be used in a traditional bridal head dress.
The size and weight would have been directly related to a current circulating coin of the time, but having said that, official Turkish gold coins had a notorius reputation for variable weight for the denomination.

That is why I feel both zxcccxz and certainly myself, have trouble in confidently nominating the equivalent kurush denomination.

The other two coins are sovereigns or half sovereigns, depending on their size and weight. The details on these coins look a bit mushy (particularly the St.Geroge & Drsagon detail) to me, indicating that they may be copies, which were produced in abundance in this part of the World. Not to worry TOO much however, because many of these copies were made in good gold, of at least 20 carats fine.

These pieces should be directly compared side by side with known genuine equivalent coins visually, and also be carefully checked for comparative ring tone and weight.
