I think I found a 1940 double...you can see the indication in the 9 and the lettering slightly in the LIBERTY. The "U" in TRUST has damage, but I wonder if it is a strike through?

Let's wait for coop but I don't think your coin is a DDO.

DDO looks good to me. Not sure about a strike through. Need a pic of the whole obverse. From what I can tell, it seems like there are numerous dings on the surface, so it could just be PMD.

Does the reverse have a DDR? If so it might be 1940P-1DO-001/1DR-001. CONECA 1940-P DDO-002/DDR-009 2-O-VI stage "B". They also list stage "C" without a DDR. It would probably need a hands on to ID it for sure. The examples on most references doesn't show many markers. Looking at the date and other devices to compare a side by side of each device might help nail it down. But circulation wear and coin flattening alters these so it might take a very close look to figure out which one it is. But it is a DDO. So if it has the DDR, then that would be an easy ID.

Looks like it is not a DDR. Did you check for markers on the coppercoins 001 & 005? I'm wondering if the reverse was changed because the Stage "C" on CONECA does not a DDR. But it might be assumed? Look at die scratches to see if you can find any matching for markers for these two dies? I see a lot of similar things on these two die listing for the doubling on the date. They look like they maybe from the same obverse dies?

Im afraid my coin is beyond die scratched...the marker for the 005 at the hairline/forehead is non-existent.
Ill try and get a new pic of the LIBERTY, I see some slight variations.

Coop,
Here is a different view of the LIBERTY...The 005 is somewhat similar but the subject coin is "more" dramatic?!?.
The inside loop of the R and wide upright leg. The tails from the devices. E also has an upper separation.

Looking at LIBERTY on the 001 and 005 do look different, but different than your coin also. LOL
