I got a question? In the Canadian Coin News ( Trends section ) It lists a 1896 Large cent far 6, can someone tell me far from what?

Hmmmmm.... Charlton catalog doesn't list a Far 6 variety. Good question.

Would be better named wide and narrow date. The far 6 is far from the 9. There is a far 6 and a far far 6 and a near 6. The far,far six is the one with a premium. If you laid the 6 on its side it would fit between the far,far 6 and the nine.
