No disrespect meant, but you need to do a lot more work on your photography. Take a look at what others are posting so you can see what is needed to identify varieties.I cannot tell anything from these pics except that it is a 1968-D Lincoln Cent.

I'm dampening with clear plastic, light wattage and working with distance. So I need to find a common spot. I'll be most thankful for your input. Hope I can zero in ASAP Thanks. If this obverse in Reverse are bette. I would try to provide decent pics of important areas. Thanks again

and no disrespect taken and no disrespect back. I've worked so many ways lighting diffusing and so on angles but I guess my phone no matter what is incapable of it at minimumresults. I'm working on a new camera any day now. But I can only afford around 100. Trying to get through with what I have and have been told the phone should do minimum enough. I have pictures around my house for my photography. add pictures frames around my house. But I can't seem to get anything minimal To come out from this phone cam with coins. and of course I do look at other posts. Mini are just as I get responses. Some are better summer wars I find that's right to just meet standardsomewhere in the middle. Just to be acceptable. I've worked on getting off the glare. Were the last two pics ok? Or not enough detail? If its detail is the equipment. Clean camera lens. And it all else I can do. so, no disrespect yes I do see other pics and many are equal to quality or worse. Some are better some I wonder how they get a response and don't seem much better than mine how is that? Why? I tried two more pics. Can you tell me which way the pics need to go give me an idea. thanks again all input is greatly appreciated.

Hi Joey - photography of fine details can be tricky stuff, so don't despair.
The experts here usually like to have a few pictures to help diagnose a subject coin -
- Clear close-ups of a particular affected detail (the subject detail) - Zooming out from the close-up on the same detail; they gain perspective looking at the subject detail while gathering deeper perspective when looking at adjacent details - Pictures in the areas where a marker might be expected to be found; looking at pictures posted at Coppercoins will give you the areas to focus on and allow you to duplicate a shot
Try to take your pictures with the same orientation and size; experts here appreciate it when you can give a similar look. By doing these things, members here will be better able to help you and in doing these things, you'll educate yourself on what to look for.
Good luck!

The pictures are getting better, but still have a long way to go yet. What are you using for magnification? The best images are taken though a microscope for very close up images.

Joey,
I have always been in the crowd where extravagant and costly equipment is neither necessary nor desired to achieve the intended end result such as photos of close-up mint marks.
I personally bought an iPhone 4S on Craigs List for $ 60 and it is very impressive insofar as the shots of coins I have produced.
Keep in mind when purchasing any iPhone it is NOT necessary for this phone to be programmed to have the capability to make/receive phone calls or send/receive emails and text messages in order to enable the enclosed camera.
This is a common misconception and a useful fact to know since some more economical wireless providers of 3G-only connectivity do not support all iPhone models for voice, data and texting services.
Even if you do not sign up with a cell phone provider with your iPhone you will still be able to access the Internet as long as any WiFi connection is available and accessible.
Even though my iPhone has no voice, data or texting service I am still able to have my iPhone set up on a tripod to take only photos. The photos are then automatically sent over my WiFi connection to my computer for further editing and uploading...
You just need to ensure that the iPhone seller provides you with THEIR correct password to access THEIR already-established iCloud account so you can set up your own iCloud account by changing the previous owner's user name and password.
Accomplishing this will gain you access to 5 GB of iCloud storage space for placement of photos, emails, contacts, calendars, and browser bookmarks.
This is essentially FREE off-site redundancy supported by a separate electrical power grid and multiple mirrored servers connected to diesel-powered generators in the event of a power failure etc...
Remember that these features do NOT require any monthly fees to be paid to Apple nor monthly payments to a cell phone provider if the camera and WiFi are all that is being used.
You can even use Apple's FaceTime for free over a WiFi connection without paying for voice and data.
By the way for security purposes Apple will never divulge a lost or stolen password to any third party not listed on the original or current iCloud account; it's like trying to extract a molar tooth with a tweezers. It just will not happen.
I hope this option works out for you in the event you have not yet chosen your desired photographic solution for close-up shots.

Oops, I failed to provide the associated URL referenced in my above post. About 1/3 of the way down on the 6th page of this six page thread about iPhonography you will find a pretty impressive shot of a well-lighted and tightly-focused mint mark taken with an iPhone 4S: https://goccf.com/t/160092&whichpage=6mdpmedia
