Sent this 1818 N-3, R-3, off to PCGS. Just got it back, guess the grade. Second pic shows the die rotation, approx 110 degrees.

I don't have my reference books, but from the top of my head I'd say VF25.


Theres something about this cent I like, I just can't put my finger on what it is.

I will go with VF-30 but I would not be surprised if it go VF-35.

VF30 maybe a VF35, hopefully no details from the old cleaning, though most of the EAC stuff doesn't get dinged as bad as the more modern coins do.

Great news! Guess I'm improving a little bit in my grading of older coppers, thanks to the EAC Grading Guide book, if you don't have it yet, grab a copy now, it's great.
