Hi all, any input on the grades of these two silver dollars? Also, does anyone have any suggestions on where to find learning material for grading Canadian silver dollars? Particularly any website that has high resolution images in a variety of grades?

I would like to become more confident and have a general "feel" of a silver dollar's grade based on inspection.

Thanks in advance!

There is no comprehensive online grading guide for Canadian coins.
Here's the accepted standard for Canadian grading; 150911284928 , widely available.
Is it just me or does it seem like '59 and '60 dollars have an extra wavy surface alongside the canoe?

There is a website called "mycoincollecting" that has pictures of each grade for all of the Monarchs.
At the end of the top heading, click on "coin grading".
You can then click on to whatever your searching for.
I have a copy of the Standard Grading Guide which is a good book but it only covers circulated coins.
With all this help, the best teacher is still experience.
Good luck with your coin grading. It is not an exact science.
6 people might come up with 3 different grades on the coin.
