Best of TrueView US Coins

I plan to post the best of Trueview images in this thread. These are coins that have PCGS TrueView images and stand out from the crowd. If others want to join in and post their favorites that's great. If not that's fine too. Hopefully this might provide some nice "eye candy" over the next 7 months or so.

-edit to add that Phil Arnold from PCGS gave his blessing to use the TrueView images here.

Here's the schedule:

Just to be sure we're ok to post these images here I've reached out to Phil Arnold who heads up the TrueView program at PCGS to make sure it's ok. I'll post here as soon as I hear back from him.

isn't the whole point of a "days of" thread to showcase coins any of us owns or have owned in the past?

So perhaps a different title, say "Best of TrueView" or is there a lack of interest in having a thread like this?

I can appreciate what you're seeking as PCGS coin photos of the best of the best in their slabs at various grading marks are quite nice to look at. However, I do not think you will gain a lot of traction of other members going out of their way to save the jpeg from PCGS, convert to a specific requested size format as you proposed and than list it. What if I and another member grab the same coin image and post it twice? What if 10 members grab the same image and do the same?

I would not mind seeing your opinion of what you feel are the best true view photos daily based on year of issue and/or denomination. I think it would be a lot for you if you wanted to cover a denomination from each year and conversely I think it would take away from the viewing appreciation if you chose a single denomination to display each day because what if I could care less about a Half Cent and only want to see a dime from 1838.

I'd say let Moe continue to captain our ship "Days Of" and lets just all participate as much as we are able to or want to.

The preceding is all IMHO. No offense meant to anyone.

@ dsfreeworld

What you say makes sense to me. I plan to post my favorites and if any others care to join in, the more the merrier. No big deal on the sizing, I just thought it would make for a nicer look in the thread if they were all the same size, but that's not important.

The whole idea is just to be eye candy for everyone so if it's enjoyable great, if not that's ok too.

I just received word back from Phil Arnold that we're ok to use TrueView images in this thread. Seems he understands what "eye candy" is too. :)
