Looking for opinions on what would be a really good price to buy this coin at. And how easy it might re-sell.

A guy I know is needing some money, ans asked if I wanted to buy this coin. I am not really looking for one, but I feel the price might be good.

I may just turn around and sell it, if I bought it. I have bought coins from this person before and like to help out.

I am worry that gold might continue to fall in prices, so not sure if it would be something I would want to hold on to.

Taking the picture with my IPad .. So not great photo's.

The coin is at least AU ..maybe MS.

if you can pick it up raw for $750 I think you're doing okay pending it is not cleaned.

These carry a little bit of a premium in Mint State, which escalates around MS63 or so. A snap judgement of the images says this coin hasn't circulated but if it's in that true premium category, I can't say. I'd be pretty close to melt on this one, just in case. In-hand I might think otherwise because if you can cram one into an MS65 slab you've got a near-$5000 coin.

Thanks for the replies .. I will let him know tomorrow ..
I like to think on it over night ....

I am thinking melt ...plus a little more .. have to factor in
maybe getting it slabbed .. and ebay fee .. if I get it to flip.

most cases .. once I get it .. I just keep it

Looks like a nice one! Can't really tell from the pics but there look to be few contact marks. Like you said, I'd offer a little over melt. Probably not over $650.
