So, way back in February I submitted fifteen notes through a Collectors Club Platinum Voucher, and despite having 7 months to grade the notes as of today they have not yet been graded. I have called several times over the past couple months. A month ago I was informed that the notes were in finalization, which having previously submitted coins on many occasions to ANACS, PCGS, and NGC meant that they would be shipping soon. Unfortunately I discovered that this was hogwash, two weeks ago I called their customer service line to inquire why my currency had not yet shipped, I was transferred to a manager who told me that he would contact me the next day with further information. He never called me back, so today (two weeks later) I called again to try to find out what was going on. The rep on the phone told me that my notes were still with the world note specialist awaiting to be graded.
Quite frankly I am at wits end, I given some of the items I submitted I figured it would likely take a couple of months for turnaround to occur but 7 months is rather ridiculous to me. I mean George Cuhaj writes the yearly Pick guide in less time.
I have the email address for the president of the company but don't know if emailing him will do any good. Does anyone here have experience submitting world notes to PCGS Currency? How long did it take you to get them back after they received them? I originally was going to submit more notes after I got these back, but given my experience with this batch am reluctant to do so. Does PMG have a similar turnaround time?

It is not unusual to wait a long time (greater than six months) to get your notes graded and returned IF you used a lower level submission grading special or collectors club level promotion.

If you visit the PCGS Currency website you can find that they have a discussion board, too. You can join the discussion board for free and ask your questions there. They do talk about submission wait times frequently. The PCGS Currency President (Jason Bradford) also joins in on the discussions sometimes.

But the bottom line is that long wait times are the "norm". Remember too, that PCGS Currency is a separate entity from PCGS Coins.
