This seller had this huge lot for sale for auction and BIN on 2 different auctions at the same time. The BIN price is 26,500 and the auction ended a few days ago at about 6000. The buyer (not me) left feedback saying the seller backed out. Obviously he is trying to get the 26k. So UNETHICAL!

There's mostly low-grade crap in there. Only thing that might help is the large assortment of ASE's. The buyer would be lucky be out on top if paying $6100.
But I agree, pretty crappy move by the seller.

I've seen sellers do that before. I guess ebay can't monitor/detect when two identical items are listed by same seller. Yes, unethical!

It's up to us potential buyers to notify ebay of situations like this.
ebay is NOT set up to find these things on their own.

I don't know about the other coins, but the 25 1964 Jefferson nickels really caught my eye!

I notice that in his description it says

"Secondly I would like to add that I am selling the coin collection locally and have the right to cancel this at any time for any reason."

Is it just me, or does this have a double meaning? Like, does it mean that he can cancel the listing before anyone bids, because of an error or some little innocent etc AND cancel the item after someone pays for it, just to get money?

Ouch.

Yoshi, I thought it meant "I can cancel this if I get more for it somewhere else" like his BIN.

ebay does allow you to cancel an auction if you sell it before hand. It's one of the default options they give you when you cancel an auction early. But; you can't cancel an auction if you have both a bid and it's within 24 hours of ending.
