What do you guys think of this one? Graded AU, got it from my dealer for $290 plus 2.75 oz of silver. Really like the luster; pictures don't quite do it justice.

UPDATE: Here are photos outside the 2x2. I'm very confident in its authenticity; my dealer has always been reliable and hates fakes as much as anyone.

Looks ok to me. If the cash & silver trade worked for you is really all that matters.

Assuming a full market value of $400 (Which might be a bit much) I would say you overpaid. The coin looks to be AU but it looks harshly cleaned to me. You overpaid IMO.

Cleaned was what I thought when I saw the pics. AU details.

A tough date for sure.

For the level of wear it's missing something for me.

Looks cleaned probably by dipping and a cloth rub.

Xf 45 or Au details imo

The coin does look cleaned in the pictures but maybe it's just the pictures.

I'm leaning twards fake I'm sure others will chime in but the date looks bad. Also don't like the D in dollar or the 2nd T in states. What do others think?
Rest in Peace

Pictures outside of the 2x2 would certainly help as well as a close up of the date.

I don't see anything particularly scary about the coin - including the price - but yeah, this.

I'm a little curious about the silver. Did you get bullion or 90%?

XF45, probably lightly cleaned at one time. Does not look counterfeit to me. Again, if you're happy with the coin, and the trade, don't worry about it. You can always send it off to ANACS for grading/authenticity if you have doubts. Tough date.

Yes, this is a tough date to find in decent shape for a good price.

I honestly dont see any kind of lustre to the coin. It has certainly been over dipped to be that flat at high XF, low AU grade. But as said, maybe the pics are severely lacking.

I am not going to presume to say you over paid. You got a key coin to the series with no other problems than having been cleaned. If you feel it was a good deal, then there you go. And who would I be to criticize anyway? You have one, *I* do not.

I see nothing that screams fake to me. Certainly not an expert, but still.

sorry, but based on the pictures, I would have passed.

Unless it is far nicer in person
