It has a coppery appearance and on the reverse there seem to be traces of silver.

It looks like heavy patination coupled with surface crud on the reverse.

There is a problem with the photos posted, but if you click on the photos you may see that the coin looks just like any other silver coin that has had a lot of wear. The description is correct. The seller has a 99.9% positive feedback. I doubt that he would be selling a cheap fake. Just my opinion.

It is rare, but I have seen .900 fine silver coins with a coppery patina.
In this sort of case, checking for weight becomes essential.

Looks like a well worn, toned, genuine 21-S to me. They are not hard to find. Going towards the other end of the spectrum try finding a lightly worn, uncleaned, natural 21-S in XF (or higher) and you'd have a home run on your hands.
