I have had this medallion for a number of years, it was handed down through family and I am unable to identify it.

This medallion has the dates 1942 to 1992 on one side and on the other side has the number 50 in large digits with what looks like cryllic script (ynn TBEPb BOC) around the side of the 50.

Better pictures please, not from a sideways angle but full frontal.
Yes, it is cyrillic script, noticed it without reading your description and there is more written which one cannot read properly from this picture.
