colonialjohn Pillar of the Community United States 1757 Posts	Posted 10/07/2014 1:09 pm Ben - Did analysis on these modern chinese fakes awhile ago (3-4 years ago) (GNL Type 3): Fe/Ni, Brass with some silver (5-15%) and/or German Silver usually (Cu/Zn/Ni). At times they may be magnetic if Fe> ~25% but they normally keep iron below this value to avoid easy detection being magnetic. I have the Russian CC piece in my Foreign Collections of CCs as a modern chinese counterfeit Fe/Ni alloy reference standard. They are ALL Chinese alloys as mentioned above ... all items he has for sale are of the same origin. Additionally that E-Bay link with the other ebay seller from China and his Morgans ... same scenario ... same alloys.
