Looks like it was possibly struck through some copper plating that my have come loose from a different coin. It is the same color as the coin and doesn't look like a lamination of the coin itself. What do you all think?

It might be a lamination problem? If so, it's a pretty cool thing, but not worth much.

Either when I'm wrong or when I don't answer.

Amazon - 99% of the time a lamination will look "torn" out of the coin or torn and replaced. They almost never have glob-like rounded edges that look like something molten fell on the coin. This is almost always going to be something struck into the coin...which is why I answered like I did.

Now...worth...probably not a heck of a lot since these things do appear once in a while. I would say absolutely no more than $10, probably less than that.
