So, is it just me or do those clear rolls completely ruin the joy or roll hunting? I mean, particularly with dimes and quarters. If you have a good eye, you don't even need to break the roll - you can just look to see if there are any coins with a uniform silver diameter. At that point is it even worth it anymore?

I mean really, I can get 100 worth of dimes and have them all checked in 5 minutes. Its particularly frustrating when the bank teller continuously tells me "We aint' got no halfs" while she's munching on the left overs of her lunch. I'm not bitter, I just can't escape these clear rolls.

Maybe nickels are my only choice.

Although I enjoy searching I wouldn't mind those clear rolls. Much more efficient and you can get more rolls done

I used to like the clear brinks rolls... Saves a ton of time. When I was a teller years ago I could go through a box of quarters or dimes in about 5 mins. If you look closely enough you can usually spot War Nickels by edge searching too but it is tougher

Where I'm at, the recent "P" coins are hard to come by, so a clear roll yielding one or two of them isn't a bad thing for me.

Having searched $125,000+ in dimes the last few years, never had luck with clear coin condoms. Brinks stinks.

Although I would like them since they are more efficient, it is very easy for someone to spot a silver before it even gets to the bank. I've never had any luck with these, waste of time in my opinion.

This might be one of the main reasons I've never found any silver. I never really had to buy any boxes; I just checked all the deliveries at work (retail store). When I actually ordered them, I didn't like the plastic wrappers because you couldn't reuse them, and had to buy paper wrappers to bring them back to the bank/work.
