As a final comment on this topic, I would stay away from this coin...it looks to be afflicted with problematic surfaces. It's best to strive for coins with original surfaces, the way they came from the mint, and not doctored along the way. Good luck!

If the seller has been a collector and shop owner for 55 years as he says, he's not a collector/dealer I'd want to do business with. He knows exactly what that coin is. And isn't. Makes me wonder how many of those 987 positive feedbacks are from people he's taken advantage of.

I have a Seated quarter that kind of looks like that. Think I only paid $25 for it I'll see if I can post the picture tonight

Well, yes it has problems and as such I wouldn't go near that ask, but I still think it's a pretty coin, personally. Then again, every coin can be pretty - if it's the right price! ; )
