Here is a 1987 DDR in bays 1&2 also the post on the leftside. This might be a new discovery, please tell me in your opion what you see. To me it looks like a double die it is not flat it is the same thickness.

Appears to be Machine Doubling, but it's really hard to tell with the lighting and with all the circles and writing.

That is the same issue I am having. I lightened the pic in a photoprogram and you can't really see much other than the circles and such.

It would also require more of a closeup even if the light was beter to really be able to determine anything.

Not sure where or how you took the photo but try again outdoors. Sometimes outdoor lighting can give you a much better photo. Worth a try. Oh, if it's raining, forget it.
