Lightly score the plastic tubes with an sharp knife, just enough to put a nice score in the plastic, heat lightly with a hair dryer, and the tubes will split easily.

Nice score. The old copper cents have a nice look to them, even after circulated. The Zincolns are pot metal garbage.
