$1 per roll from my local dealer today. I've got 10 rolls of 70-s to go through. I'm pretty sure that I won't find any small dates, but I can guarantee that I will look at each and every one. My dealer was doing a bit of 'Spring-cleaning' and wanted to get rid of 'em. He made me an offer I couldn't refuse.

Quote: Nice score. How many rolls total? 89 rolls purchased so far. They may have more. A few of the plastic tubes are sealed tight and I'm having trouble getting the coins out. Battery on the camera is on the charger as I type this, I'll take some photos of the tubes tomorrow. I'd hate to think I'll have to break open the tubes to get to the coins.

I bought some in tubes like that last year and even once I got the caps off, the tube itself was so snug the coins wouldn't come out. I had to put them in boiling water to get then to loosen up enough to free the contents

Thanks I had to pull the camera battery off of the charger for this! BONUS! I found these inside a tube labeled 1963D. The ink on the label was almost worn off. The top 2 coins on the left were the end coins in the roll. Ok, now back to the charger for the battery, and back to the rolls. No more photos until tomorrow...(unless I find another roll of wheats)

Wow, BU wheat cents! That makes me feel so jealous! Most of mine are dark brown worn ugly ducklings.

Wow indeed! Look at those pretty wheaties. Are the bottom coins really that shade of brilliant red? That's an amazing score Scotty!
