DNA Pillar of the Community United States 2734 Posts	Posted 10/13/2014 09:19 am The US Mint doesn't colorize coins, so this is not a "Mint Error". A number of retailers (such as Littleton Coin Co.) colorize Quarters. I must admit I've never seen a "wrong color scheme" on one of these before... Report this Post to the Staff

"Colorized" coins are laughingstocks to actual collectors - they're gimmicks and the paint destroys any numismatic value the coin might have had.
