Have you compared it to other 2000-D dimes?

Why do you think it is wide (not saying it isn't)? Did you compare it to other 2000D dimes?

Yes, all I have are close A T except this so that's why I posted it here if someone has like this on this year.

Interesting, I don't know of a RDV for this year. Could you post the close A T with this one to compare them?

Could it have been Struck Through Grease? The upper area of "states" looks really weak.

I am no expert

but I pulled out some 2009-d comparisons I pulled out 3 denver mint sets 3 bus from in my danscos and one out of a ziplock full of circulated out of the 180 all had same. Even the mint set was same as business strike

Yes OcalaFlorida all your 180 dime 2009-D are close A T on STATES?

Before I post this coin, already compare to others but it seems none like this so far for this year.

I assumed that... was just adding my stats incase your sample size was small

As not everyone but more then a few members here have a few rolls of most random date or mint mark coins laying around.

Also encase you only looked at a few business strikes, you would also see that the denver mint set coins and ones pulled from obw where all the same.

And of coarse you might need a sample size of several members looking at several thousand to find another so keeping stats is usually a bonus.

And the pictures were added to show that all devices looked thicker even on a worn circulated example.

I think what you may be seeing on the "wide" AT dime is the result of heavy die polishing thinning the lettering making them further apart at the base.
