Picked up these two at a local coin shop today. Hoping anyone could back me up on these. I think they are MS64-65 but I'm sort of new and could be wrong. I have a MS65 graded by PCGS so I included pictures of that one for comparison. Hopefully the pictures are up to par. Thanks!

to the commemorative forum.

Your small photos taken through the 2x2 do not lend themselves to the difficult task of grading these coins via images ...

I am confident both are MS-something.

I got the coins out of the 2x2s and hopefully these are better pictures.

The 1952 looks great. The only nick I see is Booker's eyebrow. The 1954 is great as well with the only thing I can tell wrong would be wear on the "." on the S. Also, on the '54, the black streaks are not scratches, I am not sure what they are though.

I am trying to get a set of these commems in 64-65. Do y'all think those grades are possible for these if I submit them to PCGS?

Thanks!

The new images are much better. Thanks!

My eyes see MS63/64 - not full gem examples.

I believe I also see a fingerprint on the "S" mint coin. It's hard to say what might have caused the "black streaks" you refer to, but a past storage "container" is a likely culprit.

63 and 64 BTW's and GWC's are not worth sending in unless the grading is free. You end up adding more in fees and postage than the coins are presently worth (in those grades).

Checking back in ... much better photos but not ideal ...

Both coins IMHO are not gem MS state. Likely MS63 or perhaps MS64.

Your call on certification ... my judgment is you will be disappointed if expecting MS65 or better.
