My type set of double dimes. I plan on replacing the reverse example with an 1876 which will also complete the set of circulation strike double dimes. The PCGS 1875-S did not photograph well no matter how I tried to capture the mint luster it has. Obverse example: 1875 PCGS AU-55 CAC (BF-1) Reverse example: 1875-S PCGS AU-55 (BF-16) Branch Mints: Carson City Mint example 1875-CC PCGS AU-55 CAC (BF-2) San Francisco Mint example 1875-S NGC AU-58 (BF-2) In case anyone is wondering if I have a dime type set I need only one to complete it, an 1860-61 Type I obverse. I also have in progress the quarters, halves and dollars, both Liberty Seated and Trade.

Way to go on putting an AU 20 cent type set together.
Did you id the varieties yourself? I have 3 1875-S coins but haven't taken the time to id them.

WOW! Those are sweet..Dont see many around these parts. I have three. Best one is NGC AU details, cleaned. Old time collectors must have made it a practice to clean them, see a few cleaned ones at auctions, people bid them up, too.

MeadowviewCollector I used this web site to ID the varieties http://www.doubledimes.com/Collecting.htmlscopru my avatar is an M1937 pattern officer's EGA for the barracks cap made by Hilborn-Hamburger in sterling and gold. I used that instead of my enlisted man's EGA solely because it is an awesome device. Thanks to all who posted their nice comments. The two 1875-S pieces have been sent to CAC and I expect, hope, the AU-58 will get a green sticker but, I am not too sure about the AU 55. If either or both do not then whichever does not or both do not get a green bean they will be replaced with ones that have a green bean.
