I've been trying to identify this one for a while. I'm not certain who is on the obverse because there is almost no visible inscription. I think it may be Caracalla based on the bust but I couldn't find a good match between this and any Caracalla coins with a city gate on the reverse.

I was going to say either Caracalla or Commodus.

Possibly - Commodus AE 26 of Anchialus, Thrace. (or similar)

Obv: AV KAI L AVP KOMODOC, draped bust right
Rev: HGE IOVL KACTOY AGCIALEWN, city gate with windows, 2 quadrigas above.

Wildwinds - Anchialus

With the amount of wear it's hard to say for sure, but I think you may have it Topcat. The existing inscription is in the right place and the detail that is still there looks about right. Thanks!

We're all just building on eachothers knowledge. :)

I just had an exhausting day of coin identifying though. I was able to move 11 coins from my 'promising but unidentified' to being fully (or nearly fully in a couple places) attributed. I may start a thread on the handful of Castulo coins I IDed since they seem to have an interesting backstory.
