On the obverse it looks that a larger coin has been struck with a smaller die. And if you turn the reverse around there are clear traces of "S C" close to the side of the figure, not matching the design of the final strike. On top there is this "PC", Certainly an interesting coin. Report this Post to the Staff
Paul Bulgerin Pillar of the Community United States 3098 Posts	Posted 10/18/2014 6:44 pm I think I read somewhere that the Lugdunum mint (and if there's a small globe at the base of the bust it is from Lugdunum) struck some dupondii (which I think is what this coin is) on over-sized flanges.
