I have a 1968 proof set that has the DDO half in it and I need to take it out of the case to get better pics.

I use one of those tiny screwdrivers that come in a set. You know, the ones that are used to remove battery compartment covers from toys and such. It works great for me.

Be advised that unlike today's proof sets these were sonically sealed (sometimes not too well) and they don't just snap back together without evidence of tampering.

Conder is right. When I open sets from this period the case is destroyed. There is no going back. That is what I was really talking about. When I open a set it is opened permanently.
