Not sure on the DDO?

But It is a photo to represent one of several more then at least 29 but most likely 50 of that same coin that seller is selling. So the odds of getting coin in picture is marginal.

be careful buying coins on ebay you dont always get the coin in the picture. Always check discription and if it ssy more then X available with x amount sold

Yes - good advice. I'm thinking no on the DDO anyway but the picture is blurry so it may be masking something. Coop or John might be able to see something, but as Ocala mentioned, a seller might list a bunch of similar items not intending to be fraudulent, but your cherrypick might be thwarted by the seller's indifference in selling the 'exact' coin presented. To some folks, it's just one of 50 coins that are all the 'same'. Other sellers intentionally blur a shot to create 'possibilities' and you end up paying a buck for a coin you can get at a coin swap for around a quarter. Good luck silverstacker!!

Yeah, I am not getting it. I went and bid with the $1.38 left on my gift card on a 1864 penny. Lol.

Good for you! Do you have a local coin shop to visit in your area? I'm sure you can find a very nice 1959 LMC there. AND...most LCSs don't look for varieties. You can pick up high grade varieties for the cost of a high grade coin. AND...you get to hold the specimen you intend to buy (no postage fees either). I see Coop and others (John1?) cherrypick off ebay successfully but they have years of practice. One day maybe we'll be in the bidding with them. Right now though...I'm doing the conservative route. That said, taking a small calculated risk on a potential cherrypick is not an insane thing to do either. Just set the right expectations...and price.

Yes - many have narrowed their focus to the silver and gold rushes of late. Most aren't getting rich selling us pennies, but that's why the hidden treasures go undetected.

Well, I hope things swing back. I'm lucky to have a good one about 15 minutes away and another 2 within 30 minutes. More if I include an antiques store or two.

It looks like a normal coin. There is a seller on ebay that is selling 1949-S cents showing a DDO on the coin, but I asked, if that is the coin I will get and he said no. It is a stock image from a coin in his collection. So I watch out for him because he puts information on his images that are camera stamped. Thus I know it is his normal coins he is selling and not the coin in the image at the auction. I've stopped cherry picking for now as they seem to be pretty cherry picked over. I like hitting the coins at shows of dealer stock BU coins that I find varieties on. It's been a while since I've been to a coin show because of my limited ability to walk any distance.
I can identify with this guy:
