Picked this up at the show this weekend, to fill that last commemorative hole in my 7070.

My-1923-S-Monroe-Doctrine-Commemorative-Half-Dollar

My camera does not show the luster that remains on this coin, but I am pleased with the acquisition.

Just as important, I had the privilege and honour of meeting our very own commems at this show. He is just as nice in person as he is here on CCF.

By the way, he was able to see this (and my other purchases) in hand.

@jbuck: Thanks for the kind words, much appreciated. I enjoyed meeting you as well!

I definitely agree that the coin presented has terrific luster and a very nice overall look. A very worthy addition to jbuck's Dansco 7070 album!

I thank you again! It is good to have another opinion, especially when it based on something better than a photograph.

Thought about it for a nanosecond, maybe two.

Thank you for the compliments.

Lovely coin jbuck ... I was wondering which you would select for that final 7070 slot.

Pleased that you and commems had an opportunity to meet ... always rewarding to put a personal connection to the electronic interactions we have at the CCF.

Thank you.

For what it is worth, his write-ups contributed to my decision process.
