The following is a release from the US Mint

WASHINGTON - The United States Mint begins accepting orders for the 2014 America the Beautiful Five Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin - Everglades National Park (product code NR5) on Nov. 6 at noon Eastern Standard Time (EST).

The coin is priced at $154.95; however, as with all products sold by the United States Mint containing precious metals, the price is subject to change. The maximum mintage for this coin is 30,000 units.

Orders will be accepted at http://catalog.usmint.gov and at 1-800-USA-MINT (872-6468), while hearing- and speech-impaired customers with TTY equipment may order at 1-888-321-MINT. Please visit the United States Mint website for more information on our new shipping options: http://catalog.usmint.gov/customer-...hipping.html

The America the Beautiful Five Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coins are struck in .999 fine silver and display the "P" mint mark indicating production at the United States Mint at Philadelphia. Each coin is enclosed in a protective plastic capsule and placed in an attractive presentation case. A certificate of authenticity is included.
Rest in Peace

Perhaps Provident has the bullion version on pre-sale and not the collector's version?

barryq, You look to be correct. The ones they are selling are from Westpoint, not Philadelphia.

The only press for minting of the 5 ounce (Bullion and P version) is in Philadelphia....

The collector version has a different minting process but uses the same press

I don't suppose there's any chance the price will come down with the drop in spot...but a guy can dream.

I'm still miffed that the Mint withdrew the 10% discount for subscribed coins. I liked paying $139 for the ATB pucks.
Oh well, you can't fight City Hall.

Thanks for reminding me to suspend my subscription of the ATB pucks. I'll be getting this one of course, but lumping it with some other purchases.

50+ DOLLARS over spot is excessive, even for the mint.

Since silver doesn't seem like it's going to drop below $15 any time soon, I bought mine today, along with a few other products I've been holding off on. Looking forward to it!

Great pic, scurry64!
